Trade Compliance Analyst

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Trade Compliance Analyst in Japan to support import control activities across its global supply chain. The role ensures compliance with export control and trade regulations while enabling the timely movement of medical products.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day operational support for import control activities, including transaction review and compliance checks.
• Screen and classify products, technologies, customers, and destinations according to applicable import regulations.
• Support import license determinations, applications, and documentation in coordination with global and regional compliance teams.
• Partner with supply chain, logistics, and customer service teams to resolve import‑related issues and prevent shipment delays.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits, internal reviews, and regulatory inquiries.
• Monitor regulatory changes and help implement updated import control requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Supply Chain, International Trade, Law, or related field preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in import controls, trade compliance, or related compliance functions.
• Working knowledge of import control regulations and experience in a regulated global environment.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional and international stakeholders.
• Business‑level English required; Japanese proficiency strongly preferred.
