Account Executive – Enterprise Hunter (Japanese fluency)

About the role

Stripe is looking for an experienced Account Executive to join its Enterprise sales team in Tokyo. You will be responsible for generating new business with upper‑middle‑market and enterprise customers, leveraging your fluency in Japanese to build strong relationships and close complex deals.

Key responsibilities

• Own a named account list and create strategic account plans for middle‑market and enterprise prospects.
• Develop outbound outreach strategies to generate and nurture high‑value opportunities.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract negotiation to go‑live.
• Engage executive stakeholders—including CTO, COO, and CFO—to understand business needs and position Stripe’s solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Engineering, Product, Finance) to run product workshops and build financial models.
• Contribute to the evolution of Stripe’s sales process and value proposition.

Required profile

• Proven track record selling to upper‑middle‑market or enterprise customers.
• Ability to lead multi‑party, consultative sales cycles.
• Strong business acumen and curiosity about customers’ business models.
• Self‑motivated prospecting mindset with the capacity to run sales cycles end‑to‑end.
• Excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English.
