Accounting Manager / Senior Accountant

About the role

The Accounting Manager/Senior Accountant will partner with the Accounting Director to oversee global accounting operations for Astroscale Holdings Inc. This role supports closing, disclosures, and audit processes while contributing to strategic finance initiatives across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate accounting reports and results.
• Support consolidation processes and intercompany frameworks.
• Analyze financial statements, identify discrepancies, and drive improvements.
• Manage cash payments for ASHD and maintain general ledgers.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable on a regular basis.
• Collaborate with the VP of Accounting and CFO office on system enhancements and fundraising reporting.
• Provide support for external audits and tax filings.
• Review accounting systems and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meeting tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in both Japanese and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and Pivot tables.
• Familiarity with IFRS (a plus).
