Assistant Manager, Coach Japan Retail Finance

About the role

Tapestry's Coach Japan team is looking for an Assistant Manager to support financial forecasting of Coach Japan's topline sales and gross margin, and to carry out ad-hoc analysis that drives business growth. The role sits within Coach Japan's finance function and supports management decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Report on and analyse Coach Japan's business in periodic monthly, quarterly and annual reports
• Carry out ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting for the covered markets and brands, supporting management decisions and business partners' requests
• Help create bottom-up sales plans and forecasts by sales channel, and contribute to the company-wide annual forecast and long-range plan
• Track and communicate Coach Japan sales performance, explaining daily and weekly results versus plans and targets to leadership teams
• Share plans and variances with business partners so they can plan products, buying and expenses appropriately
• Support sales-driving analysis and operations, including helping team managers propose promotions to business partners
• Work with internal partners on special projects and perform financial analysis on store-related CAPEX investments

Required profile

• Proven analytical, logical and critical thinking
• N1-level Japanese and mid-business-level English (listening and reading); speaking and writing preferred
• Excellent communication with peers and senior management, and ability to build trust with internal partners
• Preferred: 3+ years in corporate finance, FP&A or consulting, or in financial institutions; university degree in Finance or Economics; CPA or CFA is a plus
