Assistant Manager Sales – CP Petrochemicals (Tokyo)

About the role

The Assistant Manager will drive sales for CP (Petrochemicals) in Japan, achieving annual targets and shaping local strategy through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement mid‑long term BU strategy, including alliances, tolling partners, distributors and potential M&A.
• Plan and achieve sales, volume, DSO, DIV and cost targets for assigned customers and territories, including overseas transplants.
• Lead market development activities such as channel management, new business development, technology and service innovation.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers and industry partners, managing Japanese key account activities worldwide.
• Manage external communications including product launches, safety, registration, promotions, seminars and workshops.
• Support people and organizational development within the BU and drive cross‑BU and cross‑country initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in chemistry or business management.
• Experience in commodity chemical sales is an advantage.
• Business‑level proficiency in English and Japanese.
• Strong knowledge of sales & marketing, supply chain management and finance.
