Associate Producer I - Anime Co-Production

About the role

Crunchyroll is looking for an Associate Producer I for its Anime Co-Production team in Tokyo, reporting to the Senior Producer. You will work with Producers and Senior Producers to co-develop and produce anime content with production partners, aiming to create titles that attract new fans worldwide and bring fresh genres to the global anime community. The position requires a working knowledge of anime content production and rights management.

Key responsibilities

• Present and report to the Anime Production Committee on marketing and monetization strategies, viewership performance and sub-licensing status.
• Obtain approvals for marketing and promotional plans, use of production committee assets and Consumer Product programs.
• Coordinate materials for co-production titles and support US-based marketing and other teams.
• Translate important documents between Japanese and English for the Anime Production Committee and Crunchyroll.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in the anime industry.
• Experience with anime content production and rights management.
• Experience creating new, efficient procedures and coordinating assets and materials for anime production.
• Experience managing several production works at once.
• Business-level bilingual Japanese and English.
