Senior Producer, Anime Co-Production

About the role

Crunchyroll is looking for a Senior Producer, Anime Co-Production based in Tokyo, Japan, reporting to the Vice President of Anime Co-Production. The role co-develops and produces anime content with production partners to attract new anime fans worldwide, supports the Head of Production Team A on production strategy and team management, and mentors junior producers and associate producers.

Key responsibilities

• Select sources and projects suited to the markets in Crunchyroll's territories
• Develop, produce and deliver anime content working with third-party projects
• Build close relationships with production partners
• Promote close communication between anime production committees and Crunchyroll teams
• Coach and nurture the growth of associate producers and production coordinators on Team A

Required profile

• 12+ years of work experience in the anime industry
• 3+ years of people management experience
• Expertise in rights business in general
• Experience in anime production and marketing
• Understanding of anime trends in Japan and interest in trends outside Japan
• Experience working in a globally matrixed organization and analyzing issues from a global perspective

Required skills

• Native or business-level Japanese and conversational English, with willingness to improve English
