Brand Engagement Manager, Bone Business Unit

About the role

Amgen is hiring a Brand Engagement Manager for its Bone Business Unit in Japan. Through KOL engagement, speaker development and national peer-to-peer (P2P) meetings, the role delivers the brand strategy accurately and effectively to maximise patient outcomes. It reports to a Brand Engagement Lead within the therapeutic area and works closely with Marketing and cross-functional teams including Sales and Medical.

Key responsibilities

• Build a group of faculty (KOLs) in the assigned area who understand Amgen products and their clinical benefits, and shape quality P2P programs
• Contribute to a nationwide map of potential KOL speakers and recommend speakers for P2P events to the District Sales Manager
• Negotiate with speakers, manage requests and slide adjustments, and bridge slide reviews with the Compliance team for approval
• Meet KOLs face-to-face and remotely to share key brand messages and act as an Amgen ambassador
• Plan the agenda and content of national P2P programs, evaluate speakers after events and support area-level P2P sharing of speaker lists and evaluations
• Review and give feedback on BPFs, POAs and area plans from Product Managers and Sales teams
• Take part in cross-functional projects from time to time

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree
• At least 7 years of experience in KOL management through MR, marketing, etc. at a pharmaceutical company
• Fluent understanding of verbal and written Japanese and English documents (congress materials, papers)
• Experience in the assigned therapeutic area is preferred

Required skills

• Experience in P2P planning (marketing, lecture meetings, area sales)
• Understanding of adult education concepts
• Ability to perform stably in a hybrid environment of remote and in-person work
• Strong negotiation, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
