Business Head – Owndays

About the role

Lead the operating engine of Owndays, Asia’s fast‑growing eyewear retailer, by translating bold strategy into scalable, profitable execution across retail, supply chain and manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a data‑driven operating model, leveraging AI for demand forecasting, workforce planning and inventory optimisation.
• Own SOPs and standards to ensure a consistent customer experience across all markets.
• Drive store‑level KPIs such as conversion, productivity, shrinkage and NPS, building dashboards and accountability rhythms.
• Lead end‑to‑end supply chain functions, improving cost efficiency, speed‑to‑market and working‑capital management.
• Champion AI‑augmented planning and integrate supply‑chain systems with Lenskart’s global platform.
• Prepare operational readiness for new market entries and store openings, ensuring rapid integration without diluting standards.
• Own the operational P&L, partnering with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting and capital allocation.
• Build and develop a high‑performing operational leadership team across regions.

Required profile

• 15+ years of operational leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior COO/VP Operations role in retail or omni‑channel businesses.
• Proven track record of scaling operations across multiple geographies and full P&L ownership.
• Fluent in Japanese and English, able to work daily with local teams and global stakeholders.
• Experience in high‑growth, founder‑led organisations and exposure to Japan and Southeast Asia markets.

Required skills

• Strong commercial acumen with deep understanding of retail economics.
• Fluency with BI tools, operational dashboards and AI‑enabled planning systems.
• Ability to design and enforce SOPs, standards and data‑led governance frameworks.
