CAD Operator

About the role

mtc, a consulting and construction firm supporting foreign‑affiliated companies in Tokyo, is looking for a CAD Operator. You will create detailed construction drawings and follow the projects on‑site, ensuring that the designs are correctly implemented in office and technology environments.

Key responsibilities

• Create and revise elevation, ceiling, floor, detail and system drawings.
• Prepare AV equipment installation diagrams, equipment layout plans and submission drawings.
• Translate engineers’ specifications into construction‑ready CAD files.
• Coordinate with electrical, interior, furniture and other trades to guarantee proper interfaces.
• Verify on‑site that design specifications are followed, take construction photos and manage quality records.
• Conduct technical verification, liaise with subcontractors and attend regular on‑site meetings.
• Perform technical mark‑ups on third‑party drawings and assist in document preparation.

Required profile

• Experience in architectural or interior design drafting.
• Interest in expanding into IT, AV and office‑technology projects.
• Ability to work both in the office and on construction sites in Tokyo.
• Strong attention to detail and good coordination skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD).
• Technical drawing and construction documentation.
• Creation of AV equipment layout and system diagrams.
• On‑site verification and documentation of construction work.
