Clinical Laboratory Technician – On‑site in Iwakuni or Yokosuka

About the role

Arcetyp LLC is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technician to work on‑site for a U.S. Government contract in Japan. The position is based in either Iwakuni or Yokosuka and involves performing a wide range of clinical laboratory tests in a hospital or medical facility environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, serology, microbiology, and blood bank.
• Collect patient specimens via venipuncture and prepare slides for microscopic analysis.
• Operate and maintain automated instrumentation and laboratory information systems (CHCS, AHLTA, ADS, Essentris, CIS).
• Record and report test results, manage quality‑control and CAP programs, and ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards.
• Prepare specimens for transport, handle biological waste, and provide training to support staff.

Required profile

• Experience performing clinical laboratory tests and handling specimens.
• Ability to follow strict procedural and regulatory guidelines.
• Attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
