Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse – Yokosuka, Japan

About the role

Arcetyp LLC is seeking a qualified Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to obstetrical patients and newborns at an on‑site facility in Yokosuka, Japan. The role supports a U.S. Government contract and involves both routine and high‑risk deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to laboring mothers, high‑risk obstetrical patients, and newborns during the transition period.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and manage central and peripheral lines.
• Provide post‑anesthesia recovery care after C‑sections, cerclage, tubal ligations, and spontaneous pregnancy loss.
• Operate and maintain specialty medical equipment, ensuring proper function and documentation.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess and adjust patient therapies.
• Offer telephone clinical advice and coordinate ambulatory or emergency care as needed.

Required profile

• Current RN license with experience in labor and delivery or obstetrics.
• Ability to work rotating 12‑16 hour day and night shifts (14‑17 shifts per month) and on‑call duties every other week.
• Willingness to work federal holidays and respond to call‑outs within 30 minutes.
• Strong documentation and patient‑advocacy skills.
