Commercial Account Executive - Hunter (Tokyo)

About the role

Databricks is hiring a Commercial (Mid-Market) Account Executive in Tokyo to own an emerging territory of high-potential, under-penetrated accounts, often SMBs and mid-market companies, that are not yet covered by a dedicated account owner. You will report to the Sr Manager, Sales in Japan and help Japanese companies unlock the full potential of their data.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a territory plan targeting Japan's emerging market segment: growth-stage organizations with significant data and AI ambitions.
• Manage a mix of rapid, transactional deals and complex, strategic engagements.
• Meet and exceed activity, pipeline and revenue goals through active prospecting and account development.
• Maintain high standards in Salesforce and Clari, including accurate forecasting, MEDDPICC opportunity tracking and detailed account notes.
• Deliver measurable business value with a customer-first mindset.

Required profile

• 3+ years of closing experience in SaaS, Cloud, Big Data or AI sales.
• Proven success exceeding sales KPIs and quotas.
• Demonstrated ability to acquire new customers and expand existing relationships.
• Nice to have: experience collaborating with partners or co-selling within the technology ecosystem.
• Fluency in Japanese and business-level English is required.
