CONNECT Platform Sales Manager, Japan

About the role

The CONNECT Platform Sales Manager, Japan is a foundational commercial position driving growth of AVEVA’s strategic CONNECT platform. Reporting to the Director of CONNECT Platform Commercial Strategy, you will develop and execute sales and adoption plans that deliver customer value and recurring revenue outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Own commercial outcomes for a portfolio of target accounts, including pipeline generation, opportunity progression, and ARR achievement.
• Identify and qualify use‑case‑driven opportunities using a consultative, MEDDPICC‑informed sales process.
• Engage senior technical and business stakeholders to build strong buying coalitions.
• Drive and close new SaaS/Cloud platform deals, focusing on land‑and‑expand strategies.
• Negotiate commercial terms aligned with delivered value and usage patterns.
• Support onboarding and deployment to accelerate time‑to‑value and develop success plans with customers.
• Monitor usage trends, address adoption gaps, and champion post‑sale expansion.
• Provide customer insights to improve product‑market fit and inform go‑to‑market playbooks.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise B2B SaaS, cloud software, or consulting roles such as Account Executive, Customer Success Manager, or Solution Consultant.
• Proven track record of enterprise selling, prospecting, opportunity shaping, and closing.
• Ability to build deep relationships with executives and influence cross‑functional teams.
• Strategic mindset with a customer‑first approach in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments.
