Employee Relations Specialist IV

About the role

Join Applied Materials' centralized Employee Relations team as an Asia‑level ER consultant, supporting multiple countries including Japan, China, Taiwan and Korea. You will partner with Global Employment Law, HR Business Partners and other functions to manage employee performance, conduct and misconduct matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end Employee Relations investigations, from intake through interviews, analysis, escalation and closure.
• Provide guidance on investigation outcomes and recommend corrective actions up to termination.
• Serve as trusted advisor to managers on policy interpretation, discipline and performance management.
• Track, analyze and report on ER case metrics, identify trends and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in employee relations, performance management or HR Business Partner roles.
• In‑depth knowledge of labor and employment laws across Asian jurisdictions.
• Strong consulting, influencing and coaching abilities with high integrity and discretion.

Required skills

• Fluent English (mandatory).
• Proficiency in one or more Asian languages: Korean, Japanese or Chinese.
