Head of Partnerships - Japan

About the role

We are looking for a Head of Partnerships to lead Cognition’s strategic ecosystem in Japan. Reporting to the GM and President, you will build and scale relationships with enterprises, system integrators, cloud providers and public‑sector organisations to drive adoption of our AI software agent, Devin.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the partnerships strategy for the Japanese market, targeting high‑leverage partners across enterprise, SI, cloud and public‑sector ecosystems.
• Source, negotiate and close strategic partnership agreements that generate revenue, distribution and product adoption at scale.
• Develop joint go‑to‑market motions with partners, including co‑selling, co‑building and embedding Devin within partner solutions.
• Act as senior relationship owner, engaging C‑suite, innovation leaders and technical stakeholders.
• Navigate complex multi‑layered organisations in both enterprise and government contexts.
• Translate partner and market feedback into product insights, collaborating with engineering and product teams.
• Identify new market opportunities and industry‑specific use cases.
• Collaborate with international leadership to shape APAC strategy and align with global priorities.
• Deliver measurable outcomes such as partner‑sourced pipeline, revenue contribution and ecosystem expansion.

Required profile

• Proven track record of building and scaling strategic partnerships in Japan, preferably within enterprise software, AI or deep‑tech.
• Strong experience working with large enterprises, system integrators and/or cloud ecosystems in Japan.
• Ability to navigate Japanese corporate and government structures and influence senior stakeholders.
• Commercial instinct combined with technical fluency and understanding of AI‑driven solutions.
