Head of Technology Services, Japan

About the role

The Head of Technology Services, Japan leads the delivery of secure, reliable and high-performing technology services supporting Manulife's customers, employees, distributors and business partners across Japan. The role shapes the technology services strategy and operational excellence agenda for one of Manulife's key markets, working with regional and global technology leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery, governance and continuous improvement of Technology Services across Japan
• Act as the primary technology services advisor to Japan business leadership and represent Japan in regional and global Technology Services forums
• Oversee workplace technology, end-user services, local networks, office technology and infrastructure services
• Partner with regional and global teams on cloud, cybersecurity, network and enterprise technology services
• Manage service operations, incident response, change management, technology risk, regulatory compliance, vendor performance, budgets and transformation initiatives

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in technology infrastructure, IT operations or technology services leadership, including people management
• Minimum 10 years managing enterprise technology services, infrastructure, networks, cloud platforms or end-user computing in a large organization
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field
• Business-fluent Japanese (JLPT N2 or above preferred) and strong English
• Preferred: experience in insurance, banking or financial services, ITIL, operational resilience, business continuity and disaster recovery, vendor management, and certifications such as ITIL, PMP, PRINCE2, AWS, Azure or CISSP
