Lead, Japan Communications

About the role

KLA, a global leader in electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, is looking for a Lead, Japan Communications based in Yokohama. The role develops and executes communication strategies for KLA Japan in line with corporate communications guidelines, working with the global brand and communications team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run communication strategies covering PR, digital marketing, external and internal events, employee engagement and talent marketing.
• Manage and collaborate with PR agencies to create and localize content such as website materials, press releases and marketing collateral.
• Advise local leadership on communication matters and act as a brand ambassador within KLA Japan.
• Monitor and report on local media coverage and build strong media relationships to develop opportunities for KLA Japan.
• Coordinate with agencies to maximize PR outcomes and act as part of the KLA Asia Communications team.
• Plan and manage local customer-facing events and seminars.

Required profile

• 7-10 years of professional experience in an agency or in-house communications role; technology industry experience preferred.
• Fluency in English and Japanese, written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Minimum qualification: doctorate with 0 years of related experience, master's degree with 3 years, or bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience.
