Regional Install Engineer - FaST Products

About the role

KLA, a global leader in electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, is hiring a Regional Install Engineer in Yokohama. The engineer will be in charge of FaST products and primarily responsible for installation activities related to modifying, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing highly complex capital equipment at customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, analyze, diagnose and troubleshoot technical equipment problems by telephone or at the customer site
• Ensure the operational quality of system equipment and coordinate with customers to minimize downtime
• Prepare field service reports on customer support activity and document recurring problems for other functions
• Assist other field service engineers as appropriate
• Contribute to capturing, reusing, collaborating on and improving knowledge using available systems

Required profile

• 3+ years of semiconductor, automotive or medical equipment service support experience preferred
• Willingness to travel approximately 80%
• English: able to read and understand procedures and technical documents and training delivered in English
• Native or business-level Japanese
