Satellite Tasking Project Coordinator (12-Month Contract)

About the role

Vantor, a spatial intelligence company, is hiring a Satellite Tasking Project Coordinator for a 12-month contract. The role supports the daily planning, execution, monitoring and reporting of satellite imagery collection activities, working under the direction of the Senior Satellite Tasking Project Manager. It ensures customer collection orders are correctly planned, completed within service level agreements and delivered to product quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Enter, update, monitor and maintain collection orders in tasking or mission planning systems
• Track collection execution against contractual service level agreements and monitor product availability and image quality
• Identify unsuccessful collections, delays, quality concerns and capacity conflicts, and triage technical and procedural issues
• Coordinate with flight operations on satellite status and constraints, and with customers on requirements and status
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and contractually required reports on collection success, order status, quality and SLA performance
• Maintain accurate metrics, logs and decision records, and analyze collection data to find patterns and improvement opportunities
• Support testing of automated workflows, reports and dashboards, and take part in root cause analysis
• Follow operating procedures, quality controls and escalation paths, and support emergency and out-of-hours requests

Required profile

• Project management or operational coordination experience, including task prioritization, schedule tracking, issue management and status reporting; PMP or equivalent preferred
• Ability to interpret customer requirements and turn them into operational actions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach
• High attention to detail and ability to handle several time-sensitive tasks at once
• Full professional proficiency in Japanese and English, written and spoken
• Willingness to support operational emergencies outside normal business hours
