Senior Consultant, IP Services CX Japan

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Consultant for our IP Services CX team in Japan. You will act as a trusted advisor to patent and trademark clients, supporting both new business and existing relationships while collaborating closely with sales and cross‑regional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide best‑in‑class support for patent and trademark clients.
• Assist the sales team in the final stages of the sales cycle, educating clients on our services.
• Manage and nurture relationships with new and existing clients, delivering timely solutions.
• Communicate proactively with internal and external stakeholders to keep portfolio records accurate and up‑to‑date.
• Collaborate with colleagues across all territories to ensure a unified service delivery.
• Take a commercial approach to deepen client relationships and monitor docketing activities.
• Perform data reconciliation and deliver internal/external software training related to the Services division.
• Author and update process documentation, driving continuous improvement and change management.

Required profile

• Fluent in Japanese and business‑level English.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Solid experience or understanding of the intellectual property (IP) industry.
• Strong client‑facing skills with a proven ability to resolve complex issues and manage escalations.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational abilities, and multitasking capacity.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with executives, managers, and subject‑matter experts.
• Mentoring experience and ability to support team members.
• High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and self‑driven work ethic.
• Eligibility to work in Japan and willingness to work international business hours.
