Software Project Engineer

About the role

KLA, a global leader in electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, is looking for a Software Project Engineer in Yokohama. The role sits within the Measurement, Analytics and Control (MACH) group, which develops process analytics and control technologies for wafer and reticle manufacturing. The engineer supports the installation and upgrade of products, project management at customer sites and the work of headquarters and the local business unit.

Key responsibilities

• Install, upgrade and provide technical support for KD/ACE products
• Manage projects for beta and product adoption at customer sites
• Support headquarters and the local business unit in achieving their business goals
• Maintain custom scripts (Python)

Required profile

• Experience installing and maintaining an enterprise application
• Good software documentation skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• Business-level Japanese and English
• Experience with Klarity Defect or Klarity ACE is a plus

Required skills

• Oracle administration and PL/SQL
• Linux administration and shell scripting
• Programming in one or more of C/C++, Python, Perl
