Solution Delivery & Business Technology Enablement (DDIT)

About the role

This role leads the delivery of AI, Data, Digital, Automation and Enterprise Technology initiatives across Japan and APMA. As a key member of the DDIT Business Partner organization, it turns business priorities into scalable technology solutions and drives them from concept through deployment, adoption and value realization, in line with Novartis architecture, security, compliance and governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of AI, Data, Digital, Automation and Enterprise Technology initiatives, owning scope, quality, timeline, risks, dependencies and stakeholder satisfaction, and coordinating cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Drive AI, GenAI, Agentic AI, Analytics and Automation solutions, including PoCs, MVPs and scaled deployments, and promote responsible AI adoption.
• Partner with business stakeholders to turn their needs into technology roadmaps and delivery plans, support investment prioritization and act as a trusted technology advisor.
• Deliver analytics, reporting, dashboarding and AI-driven insights solutions, support data platform adoption and ensure data governance, security and privacy compliance.
• Influence Country, Regional and Global stakeholders, lead communication, training and change initiatives, and mentor business analysts and solution delivery professionals.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of the Japanese business environment and ability to work with stakeholders in Japan.
• On-site presence in Tokyo; relocation support is not available.
• Skills desired: budget management, business acumen, influencing, project management, risk management, service delivery management and strategic planning.

• AI and automation: Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Services / AI Foundry, Snowflake, Databricks, SQL, CI/CD, Agile delivery.
• Data and analytics: Power BI, Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Azure DevOps, SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, Azure cloud platform.
