Solution Sales Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Solution Sales Manager to drive new‑business revenue for Elsevier’s Advanced Data Solutions portfolio across the Engineering, Energy, Chemicals and Technology (EECT) market. The role will focus on selling data sets, SciBite semantic technology and professional services to R&D organisations in Japan, Korea and Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and close new business opportunities that generate recurring subscription revenue and strategic services engagements.
• Build trusted‑advisor relationships with senior R&D and business leaders, understanding their innovation priorities.
• Assess customers’ current data and analytics capabilities, pinpoint gaps and quantify business impact.
• Design integrated solutions that combine Elsevier data assets, SciBite technology and consulting services.
• Partner with Account Managers to structure deals and lead sales execution across multi‑component contracts.
• Collaborate with Professional Services to scope and position strategic consulting engagements such as AI/ML implementation and custom analytics.

Required profile

• Proven experience selling complex data, analytics or technology solutions to R&D or scientific organisations.
• Strong ability to act as a consultative partner, translating technical concepts into measurable business value.
• Excellent communication skills with senior scientists, informatics professionals, IT decision‑makers and business leaders.
• Track record of managing multi‑stakeholder sales cycles and delivering large‑scale contracts.
