Tax Accountant

About the role

The Tax Accountant will support all accounting duties for Airbus Helicopters' Japanese entities, focusing on tax compliance, financial reporting and internal controls. Reporting to the Head of Accounting, the role requires bilingual communication in English and Japanese and frequent interaction with the headquarters in France.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate corporate tax, VAT and enterprise tax matters with the regional tax manager and external advisors.
• Prepare and review profit & loss, balance sheet and cash‑flow statements under IFRS and JGAAP.
• Assemble reporting packages for headquarters, analysing variances against forecasts and prior periods.
• Support external and internal audits, maintain internal control standards and update accounting policies as needed.
• Manage inter‑company transactions, fund arrangements and bank reconciliations.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of finance or accounting experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of Japanese accounting standards (JGAAP) and IFRS.
• Native‑level Japanese and business‑level English.
• Ability to work autonomously while escalating issues when necessary.
• CPA, tax certification or experience at an accounting firm is a strong plus.
