Technical Project Manager (Manager Level)

About the role

Mastercard’s Advisors & Consulting Services (A&CS) is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead complex, technology‑driven client engagements in Japan. The role sits within the Deploy team, which translates strategy and solution design into successful implementations, ensuring Mastercard products are delivered efficiently, securely, and at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end delivery of multiple technical projects, controlling timelines, scope, quality, and budget.
• Act as the primary day‑to‑day delivery lead for client stakeholders, maintaining clear communication and expectations.
• Plan and coordinate integrated delivery schedules, dependencies, and milestones across parallel workstreams.
• Collaborate closely with technical architects, engineers, product teams, and client stakeholders to ensure transparent, outcome‑driven execution.
• Monitor risks, issues, and governance processes, driving corrective actions to keep projects on track.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale technical projects in a client‑facing environment.
• Strong ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a focus on quality and predictable execution.

Required skills

• Project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Experience with technical delivery, integration, and implementation processes.
• Ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
