About the role
AVEVA is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join its Customer Support team in Tokyo. You will help a broad range of industrial customers, including Fortune 100 companies, resolve complex software issues and ensure they get maximum value from AVEVA’s PI system.
Key responsibilities
- Provide remote and on‑site technical support via phone, email and web channels.
- Investigate and troubleshoot deep technical issues, reproducing problems to determine root cause.
- Communicate clearly with customers to understand their use of AVEVA software and gather feedback for Engineering and Sales.
- Deliver training sessions and public classes, and act as an internal instructor or job trainer.
- Participate in a comprehensive onboarding and training program covering products, customers and company culture.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Natural Sciences or a related field.
- 3–5 years of technical support experience in a software environment.
- Self‑motivated with a strong customer mindset and excellent communication skills.
- Enthusiasm for solving technical problems and attention to detail.
- Ability to learn and research in a dynamic environment.
Required skills
- Experience with AVEVA’s PI system or similar industrial software platforms.
