Trust Architect - AI Governance and Adoption

About the role

Accenture is hiring a Trust Architect in Tokyo. Trust Architects build trust in AI and among the people who use it, ensuring every system shipped by Avanade Next is safe, reliable and ready for production, and that clients feel confident adopting new ways of working. The role spans two dimensions: trust in the AI (evaluation, accuracy, security and governance controls, human-in-the-loop safeguards) and trust in the people (adoption design, capability uplift and confidence in human-agent collaboration).

Key responsibilities

• Set governance, risk and security guardrails before build begins, embed checks and feedback loops, and support regulatory and privacy positions.
• Design and run evaluations including accuracy targets, test harnesses and release evidence, hold the release gate with delivery and quality teams, and work with FDEs to build trust and monitoring in.
• Design adoption and change approaches based on transparency, education and demonstrated outcomes, help redesign human-agent interaction, and track usage and oversight after go-live.
• Support executive and Board confidence with governance and accountability frameworks, contribute evaluation harnesses, guardrail patterns and adoption assets, and provide independent challenge on trust risks.

Required profile

• 5+ years across AI governance, model risk, security, responsible AI or large-scale technology change and adoption; strength in two areas with a credible path into the third is expected.
• Hands-on evaluation experience with generative or agentic systems is strongly preferred over policy-only backgrounds.
• Working knowledge of the APAC regulatory environment relevant to the market.
• Able to build trust with sceptical stakeholders and to say no with evidence.
• Comfortable in a role that is still being defined, with no established internal precedent.
