Vehicle Integration and Validation Engineer

About the role

Compal is a leading innovator dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology and delivering advanced solutions to its clients. We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Integration and Validation Engineer to perform evaluation tasks, acquire and organize data based on test plans, and ensure safety and reliability. The role will contribute to developing high‑performance far‑infrared (FIR) camera solutions for future vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Design, integrate, maintain, inspect, and manage operation of ADAS systems on test vehicles.
• Prepare, execute, acquire data and create reporting materials based on test plans.
• Conduct evaluations on test tracks, public roads and simulation environments, handling on‑site technical issues.
• Support technical communication with design, planning, regulatory certification departments, external organizations (e.g., JARI) and overseas partners.
• Lead testing and validation to confirm integrated systems meet performance, safety, quality and regulatory standards.
• Ensure designs and integration processes comply with automotive industry standards, safety regulations and internal requirements.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation for validation procedures and test results.
• Compare and analyze key performance indicators for each software version.
• Create performance evaluation reports.

Required profile

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Practical experience in testing operations for autonomous driving or ADAS on test tracks or public roads.
• More than 5 years of experience evaluating AD/ADAS sensors and ECU systems.
• Leadership ability and capacity to manage challenges.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Japanese.
• Hands‑on work attitude.

Required skills

• Knowledge of CAN/CAN‑FD, Automotive Ethernet, LVDS and experience in data acquisition and troubleshooting using analysis tools.
• Implementation skills for data processing and test support tools using Python and C/C++.
