About the role
Join 3M’s Consumer Business Group in Japan as a Category Development Marketing professional. You will drive category growth, shape portfolio strategy, and lead market‑focused initiatives that impact profit, market share, and brand perception.
Key responsibilities
- Own category growth and consumer insight, tracking profit‑center YOY OSG, standard gross margin and market share.
- Develop and adapt portfolio strategy and marketing plans for the Japanese market, managing the NPI pipeline and product launches.
- Establish base pricing strategies and price‑increase plans to protect margins and respond to cost changes.
- Lead campaign planning, timing, and execution, ensuring alignment with channel readiness and local market needs.
- Analyze syndicated data to identify growth opportunities, manage activation budgets, and drive projects that gain or recover market share.
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience in category, consumer, or brand marketing within FMCG, including new‑product launches.
- Proven ability to collaborate with agencies and design partners.
- Native Japanese proficiency and business‑level English.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Required skills
- PowerPoint for creating presentations and communicating strategies.
