Principal Consultant - Commercial Strategy Business Consulting

About the role

Veeva Japan Business Consulting is building a leading consulting practice that blends strategy and technology for life‑science companies. As a Principal Consultant you will join the Japan Business Consulting Leadership Team, help grow the practice across Japan and APAC, and work directly with commercial leaders to solve complex business challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business development by identifying new project opportunities, shaping compelling proposals, and winning work.
• Build and nurture relationships with senior commercial stakeholders in client organisations.
• Recruit, mentor and coach consulting staff to expand the practice.
• Direct multiple project teams, overseeing scope, delivery quality and client satisfaction.
• Develop thought‑leadership assets, new offerings and campaigns that differentiate Veeva Business Consulting.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in life‑science commercial operations or consulting, with deep knowledge of commercial value‑chain areas such as brand strategy, product launch, go‑to‑market, and analytics.
• Proven leadership record, including managing client relationships, delivering advisory engagements and driving business development.
• Extensive network of senior leaders in life‑science companies across APAC.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese, with the ability to travel up to 50%.
• Valid working visa for Japan.
