Financial Planning & Analysis Manager – Commercial

About the role

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager – Commercial Analysis will act as the senior finance business partner for the Sales and Marketing functions, owning key customer relationships and driving revenue and gross profit planning across the CVJ business unit. Based in Tokyo, the role combines hands‑on forecasting, performance monitoring and financial storytelling to support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Sales and Marketing leaders to own financial analysis for assigned key customers, including pricing, rebates, promotions and commercial initiatives.
• Lead weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual forecast cycles, consolidating customer‑level inputs and ensuring consistency of assumptions across brands and channels.
• Drive the S&OP process as the finance lead, integrating commercial demand and financial perspectives for management reviews.
• Develop and maintain CVJ‑level revenue and gross profit outlooks, validating and challenging inputs from sales and marketing teams.
• Review new product launch business cases and advertising & promotion spend, assessing ROI and investment effectiveness.
• Prepare clear, decision‑oriented performance reports and financial narratives for APAC Finance and executive forums.
• Support the FP&A Senior Manager in coordinating management requests and ensuring high‑quality deliverables for regional and executive meetings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance business partnering within commercial or sales environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to synthesize large data sets into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills to convey financial stories to both finance and commercial audiences.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on data integrity and forecasting accuracy.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions and influence senior stakeholders.
