Senior Scale Solution Engineer (Korean-speaking)

About the role

Databricks is looking for a Senior Scale Solution Engineer based in Tokyo who speaks Korean and English. The engineer acts as a technical anchor for scaled customer engagements, guiding customers from pre-sales evaluation through onboarding and into production. The role involves independently owning complex engagements and building and improving AI-augmented workflows so the team can deliver high-quality guidance at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Own customer engagements across their lifecycle, ensuring an excellent customer experience
• Serve as the go-to expert on the Databricks Data + AI Platform, setting technical direction
• Build reusable AI-augmented workflows
• Work directly with multiple customers at once and set the quality bar for the team

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems or a similar field, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience in a technical role, preferably in Data, AI or Cloud
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to assess customer needs, build relationships, address objections and showcase the platform's value
• Excellent written and verbal Korean and English

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP); familiarity with more than one is a plus
• AI-driven development with Python or SQL, including building and extending AI-augmented workflows
• Understanding of the end-to-end data analytics and data engineering workflow and its trade-offs
• Nice to have: Databricks certification, experience building AI tooling and automation, consulting or pre-sales, or agentic solutions
