Associate Director - Internal Audit (Internal RC Core)

About the role

Robert Half is recruiting an Associate Director in Tokyo for its internal audit practice. Associate Directors lead the primary contact with significant clients, maintain client satisfaction across all client work, develop existing engagement opportunities and help build new client relationships. They also carry overall responsibility for the profitability of their client portfolios.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as Accounting, Finance or a Business-related field.
• 9+ years of experience in a related field, preferably in professional services and/or industry.
• Professional certification such as CPA or CISA strongly preferred; Big Four internal audit experience strongly preferred.
• Prior management and direct supervisory experience in a consulting environment.
• Ability to travel frequently throughout the month based on client requests and commitments.

Required skills

• Diverse skill base in internal auditing, including knowledge of GAAP and GAAS principles, COSO and COBIT internal control concepts, and auditing processes and flowcharting.
• Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act provisions and compliance methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Access, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.
• Significant experience with proposal preparation and strong business development proficiency.
• Project management, client relationship management, mentoring and time management.
