Business Development Director – Professional Services Sales

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic, results‑driven Business Development Director to lead Professional Services sales across Japan and other APAC markets. The role will partner with sales, customer success and partner teams to create, position and close services engagements that deliver measurable outcomes for our Fortune‑50 customers.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end service sales process, define go‑to‑market strategy and drive bookings in Japan and assigned markets.
• Partner with account executives and solution sales teams to identify, position and close services opportunities while maintaining accurate forecasts and pipeline health.
• Lead discovery sessions, develop tailored proposals and Statements of Work, and support negotiations to secure revenue and margin.
• Collaborate with product and services teams to evolve service offerings, fill gaps and enable sales teams to articulate value in new and expansion opportunities.

Required profile

• Fluency in Japanese and English.
• Strong background in technology services consulting and proven success selling services in large, complex enterprises.
• Excellent client‑facing and relationship‑management abilities.
• Deep understanding of software implementation lifecycles, including architecture, requirements, data integration and process optimisation.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Anaplan or other Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) technologies.
• Experience managing software implementation projects and data integration initiatives.
