Certified Pharmacy Technician – Onsite in Okinawa, Japan

About the role

Arcetyp LLC is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to work onsite at a Military Treatment Facility in Ginowan, Okinawa, Japan. The role supports pharmacy operations for U.S. Federal Government and military personnel, ensuring safe and accurate medication dispensing.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense new outpatient prescriptions, refill existing prescriptions, and enter orders into pharmacy databases.
• Provide information consultation, including patient and physician requests, drug‑interaction checks, and adverse reaction reporting.
• Conduct quality‑improvement activities such as drug storage inspections, expired‑supply reviews, and error reporting.
• Assist with inventory management, shelf stocking, and generate out‑of‑stock reports under supervisor direction.
• Operate pharmacy computer and robotic dispensing systems in accordance with MTF protocols.
• Participate in emergency preparedness drills, performance‑improvement programs, and required annual training.

Required profile

• Current Certified Pharmacy Technician credential.
• Eligibility to work onsite in Okinawa, Japan.
• Ability to follow Joint Commission standards and MTF procedures.
• Willingness to engage in continuous training and performance reviews.

Required skills

• Proficiency with pharmacy computer systems.
• Experience using robotic dispensing equipment.
• Knowledge of MTF (Military Treatment Facility) protocols.
