Enterprise Account Executive, Financial Services & Insurance

About the role

As an Enterprise Account Executive focused on Financial Services & Insurance, you will be based in Tokyo and lead the adoption of Anthropic’s safe, frontier‑AI solutions across Japan’s banking, insurance and fintech organisations. You will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, partnering with senior leaders to modernise operations, strengthen risk management and enhance customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed revenue targets by acquiring new major FSI accounts and expanding existing relationships.
• Develop and execute territory plans to identify high‑value opportunities across megabanks, regional banks, life and non‑life insurers and diversified financial groups.
• Lead consultative sales engagements with C‑level executives (CIO, CDO, CRO, compliance) to position AI as a driver of digital transformation, regulatory compliance and customer experience.
• Coordinate internal product, engineering, applied‑AI and partnership teams to deliver solutions that meet strict regulatory, security and data‑governance requirements.

Required profile

• 8+ years of enterprise sales experience in Japan, with a strong focus on financial services and insurance.
• Proven track record of managing complex, long‑cycle sales processes and closing strategic deals within highly regulated environments.
• Ability to navigate multi‑stakeholder ecosystems, building consensus across IT, risk, compliance and business teams.
• Consistently exceeded revenue targets by managing pipelines across varying fiscal cycles.
• Self‑starter with a “roll‑up‑your‑sleeves” attitude, thriving in ambiguous, startup‑like settings.
• Strategic and analytical mindset with a relationship‑focused execution style.
• Passion for safe and responsible AI development.
• Fluent in Japanese and English, with excellent communication skills.
