ETCH Customer Engineer I

About the role

As a Field Service Engineer (Customer Engineer) at Applied Materials, you will act as the direct liaison with customers, installing, maintaining and upgrading advanced semiconductor and display equipment. You will use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot issues while working in a supportive, innovative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Senior Field Service Engineers to install, maintain and upgrade customer equipment.
• Use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic and gas systems.
• Coordinate and communicate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience or trade certification.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport for travel.
