HR Manager

About the role

Informa Markets Japan, the Japan branch of Informa Markets, is looking for an HR Manager to lead all human resources functions. The role acts as a strategic business partner to senior leadership, covering talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, compliance and organizational development, in line with local business needs and global Informa HR strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategy, advise senior leadership on organizational design and talent management, and lead workforce planning, change management and HR budgeting
• Run recruitment, employer branding, onboarding and talent pipeline; manage recruitment agencies
• Implement performance management, learning and development, career and leadership development, and succession planning
• Manage employee relations, engagement surveys, internal communications, diversity and inclusion, and compensation and benefits
• Ensure compliance with Japanese labor law, maintain HR policies and contracts, run HRIS and HR audits
• Lead organizational design, employee wellbeing, exit management and collaboration with the Asia-Pacific HR team and global HR centers

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field; Master's or MBA preferred
• Minimum 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3-5 years in an HR management role
• Experience in events, media, publishing or B2B services preferred; proven experience managing HR teams
• Native-level Japanese and business-level English; JLPT N1 level Japanese required
• Full-time work permit in Japan at the time of application
