Market Manager – Vacation Rentals

About the role

As a Market Manager you will drive retention, growth, and optimization of host entrepreneurs in your assigned territory, focusing on vacation‑rental areas such as Kawaguchi‑ko, Karuizawa, Izu, Hakuba and Awaji. You will build strong relationships with professional hosts, helping them improve listings, pricing strategies and overall performance on Airbnb.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage professional host account relationships within the vacation‑rental territory.
• Meet and exceed quarterly/annual sales goals through direct account management.
• Analyze data and provide data‑driven recommendations to capture strategic opportunities.
• Prospect, onboard and retain high‑quality supply in the assigned geography.
• Represent Airbnb in external meetings, educate hosts on product changes and relay feedback internally.
• Conduct regular optimization calls, business reviews and develop long‑lasting partnerships.

Required profile

• 6–8 years of experience in account management, partner support or sales.
• 2+ years in the hospitality/travel industry, preferably with online travel agents.
• Proven ability to manage a leads pipeline or book of business and achieve targets.
• Native‑level Japanese and business‑level English communication skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to vacation‑rental areas quarterly.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM platforms, especially Salesforce.
• Familiarity with Mixmax or similar outreach tools.
• Strong quantitative and data‑analysis abilities.
