Mid-Market Account Executive

About the role

Datadog is hiring a Mid-Market Account Executive in Tokyo to join its Mid-Market Sales team, which targets customers of 1,000 to 5,000 employees. The Account Executive helps grow the business by engaging and closing net-new customers in mid-to-large organizations, following a defined methodology and working with internal stakeholders and partners. The role is hybrid (#LI-Hybrid).

Key responsibilities

• Focus entirely on acquiring net-new logos.
• Manage the full sales cycle, including negotiations and on-site technical demonstrations.
• Identify the business drivers behind each opportunity and build a deep understanding of the customer's business.
• Prospect into Chief Technology Officers, Engineering/IT leaders and technical end users such as SRE, DevOps and DevSecOps engineers.
• Work across multiple departments of complex organizations.
• Collaborate with Sales Development Representatives, partners and marketing to drive top-of-funnel activity.
• Use Sales Navigator and Demandbase to run modern sales strategies with real-time signals and research.

Required profile

• Curious and motivated to understand emerging technologies and how they connect to core business drivers.
• Experience hunting and breaking into net-new logos.
• Strong pipeline generation skills, confident in front of customers and creative in pursuing opportunities.
• Regular travel to client sites within the area and other regions, by car, train or air, depending on business needs.
