Operations Manager – End-to-End Hardware Production

About the role

Sigma Meltec, a subsidiary of Applied Materials, is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead end‑to‑end hardware production for semiconductor photomask cleaning systems. The role oversees the full manufacturing lifecycle, from planning through customer delivery, and works closely with R&D, contract manufacturers, suppliers and logistics partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead production activities across multiple contract manufacturers in Japan, negotiating costs, capacity and delivery schedules.
• Develop and execute recovery plans for production delays, quality issues or other operational challenges.
• Forecast component needs, manage supplier relationships and drive supply‑chain risk mitigation.
• Coordinate cross‑functional activities with engineering, data verification, and EHS teams to ensure on‑time shipment readiness.
• Oversee inventory reconciliation, warehouse operations and component shipments to maintain smooth production flow.

Required profile

• Proven experience in production or manufacturing operations within large‑equipment or industrial environments.
• Strong supplier management and negotiation skills covering cost, delivery and quality.
• Project‑management experience with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of BOM structures and MRP systems.
• Business‑level English communication skills, both written and verbal.
