Operations Management Manager IV

About the role

Applied Materials, through its subsidiary Sigma Meltec, seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead end‑to‑end hardware production for semiconductor photomask cleaning systems and chemical process equipment in Japan.

Key responsibilities

• Lead production planning and manufacturing across multiple contract manufacturers, negotiate costs, capacity and delivery schedules, and develop recovery plans for delays or quality issues.
• Manage supplier relationships, forecast component needs, drive supply‑chain risk mitigation, and ensure uninterrupted material availability.
• Coordinate cross‑functional activities with R&D, engineering, data verification, and EHS teams to maintain schedule adherence and resolve operational issues.
• Oversee inventory reconciliation, warehouse operations, component shipments, and support facility maintenance and 5S initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in production, manufacturing, operations or supply‑chain management within large‑equipment or industrial manufacturing environments.
• Strong supplier negotiation skills and experience managing costs, delivery, quality and service.
• Project‑management experience with cross‑functional stakeholders and ability to work in a global matrix organization.
• Business‑level English communication skills (written and verbal) and experience leading teams.
