Patient Operations Lead, Japan

About the role

Eucalyptus is seeking a Patient Operations Lead for Japan to build and scale a safe, high‑quality clinical operation in a fast‑growing digital health market. You will lead the development of a prescriber workforce, ensure compliance with Japanese regulations, and act as the primary clinical representative for the country.

Key responsibilities

• Lead clinical strategy for new product launches and adapt global models to Japanese regulations and patient expectations.
• Build and scale a reliable prescriber network, designing screening, onboarding, rostering and performance management processes.
• Monitor clinical performance through audits, data analysis and incident management, driving continuous quality improvement.
• Establish and maintain clinical governance frameworks, protocols and compliance readiness aligned with Japanese healthcare standards.
• Act as the clinical subject‑matter expert across functions, localising content and supporting pharmacy and patient‑support teams.
• Engage with regulatory bodies, clinical associations and industry events to build trust and credibility.

Required profile

• Licensed healthcare professional in Japan (physician, pharmacist or allied health professional).
• Deep understanding of the Japanese healthcare system, regulations and prescribing practices.
• Experience in clinical operations, digital health or healthcare strategy, with a proven ability to scale teams or processes.
• Strong stakeholder‑management skills, able to collaborate across local and global teams.
• Fluent in Japanese (native level) and comfortable working in English.
