Sales Specialist - Marine & Port Business

About the role

ABB is hiring a Sales Specialist for its Marine & Ports division and Marine Services within the Automation business area in Japan. The role reports to the Local Division Manager and focuses on driving service sales, generating service opportunities and securing profitable orders. It is a hybrid position.

Key responsibilities

• Deepen penetration into the installed base (IB) and promote upgrades, retrofits and value-added solutions
• Understand channel strategy and pricing, prepare and review sales plans, and propose recovery plans when needed
• Generate service sales leads and explore new markets using market trends and new service portfolios
• Promote ABB's service products and solutions at campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences and customer meetings
• Build long-term customer relationships and respond quickly to specific customer needs

Required profile

• Technical college graduate or higher
• JLPT N1 or above in Japanese and basic English
• At least 3 years of experience with electrical equipment and systems (sales, engineer, service or maintenance)
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
• Knowledge of service contracts, maintenance and technical support is preferable
