Senior Account Manager, Japan Financial Institution Partnerships

About the role

Agoda is looking for a Senior Account Manager to lead its Japan financial institution partnership strategy. You will shape the local FI ecosystem, build high‑impact collaborations with banks, card issuers and digital wallets, and drive measurable growth for the travel platform.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the FI partnership strategy for Japan, aligning with market priorities and growth targets.
• Identify, evaluate and prioritize new partnership opportunities with banks, credit‑card issuers, payment platforms and loyalty programmes.
• Lead commercial negotiations, contract execution and ongoing account management for key FI partners.
• Develop joint business plans, monitor performance and optimise campaigns, integrations and product initiatives.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing, Product, Analytics, Finance, Legal and Operations to launch and scale partnership initiatives.
• Analyse partnership data, generate insights and present recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, account management or consulting.
• Proven track record of managing external partners and delivering commercial outcomes in a fast‑paced, data‑driven environment.
• Experience with financial institutions, payment companies or loyalty ecosystems is highly preferred.
• Fluency in English and Japanese.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with SQL, Tableau or other data‑visualisation tools.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and commercial negotiation abilities.
