Senior Manager, Security Compliance (Japan)

About the role

Box is seeking a senior leader to drive its customer‑trust initiatives in Japan. You will act as the primary point of contact for security, compliance and privacy inquiries, ensuring that Box’s posture is clearly communicated to customers and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Japan’s customer trust efforts, including responding to security due‑diligence questionnaires and leading customer audits when required.
• Collaborate with US‑based GRC, Security, Legal, Product and other subject‑matter experts to address Japan‑specific customer questions.
• Identify gaps in customer‑facing content, develop new materials, and scale them to account teams, customers and partners.
• Partner closely with Box Japan’s leadership and Box GRC leadership to align strategies and achieve joint business outcomes.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in a Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) role with strong knowledge of security controls.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in both Japanese and English.
• Strong desire to learn, get things done, and maintain high integrity.
