Account Executive – Commercial Hunter (Japanese Fluency)

About the role

Stripe is seeking a Commercial Account Executive who will focus on high‑growth, under‑penetrated mid‑market businesses in Japan. The role blends new‑business hunting with expanding existing relationships, helping customers modernise their financial infrastructure using the full Stripe suite.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and target fast‑growing eCommerce platforms for end‑to‑end Stripe implementations.
• Lead product and pricing workshops, introducing solutions such as Radar, Issuing, and Treasury.
• Design and execute outbound campaigns to open new verticals within the territory.
• Deliver product walkthroughs that align Stripe’s expanding suite with customer objectives.
• Drive commercial discussions and close complex, high‑impact deals, both net‑new and upsell.
• Collaborate with Customer Success, Solutions Architects, and Sales Ops to resolve pain points and deepen integrations.
• Provide feedback to Product and Marketing to shape roadmap and messaging priorities.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in solution‑sales or a related field.
• Professional fluency in Japanese and English.
• Ability to understand complex requirements and craft custom solutions.
• Strong problem‑solving and quantitative capabilities.
