AI Deployment Manager (Builder)

About the role

The AI Deployment Manager is a specialist post‑sales enablement role focused on delivering high‑impact enablement and adoption services across OpenAI’s product suite. Based in Tokyo, the role blends deep technical fluency, instructional design, and customer advisory to help organizations adopt and operationalize AI.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical enablement of OpenAI products—including ChatGPT Enterprise, Codex, Agents, and API—defining effective enablement patterns for diverse customer segments.
• Lead customer training and enablement across the full lifecycle, from onboarding to expansion, optimization, and long‑term adoption.
• Design and deliver high‑impact engagements such as onboarding sessions, advanced capability trainings, executive briefings, hackathons, and hands‑on workshops.
• Drive customer activation, sustained usage, and measurable business value through structured deployment programs.
• Partner closely with Sales, AI Success Engineers, Solutions Engineering, and Product teams to ensure seamless handoff and consistent experience.
• Develop and refine reusable training assets, playbooks, and best practices based on observed patterns.
• Gather feedback from enablement sessions, synthesize themes, and relay insights to internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in customer‑facing or instructional roles engaging C‑level and senior technical audiences.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills, especially when explaining technical concepts to executive audiences.
• Strong technical depth across coding, agents, and APIs, with practical knowledge of building, evaluating, and operating AI systems (RAG, fine‑tuning, evaluation strategies).
• Proven experience leading structured technical trainings such as API bootcamps, workshops, or enablement sessions.
• Ability to connect technical features to concrete business outcomes like productivity, cost reduction, or revenue impact.
