Associate Director, Customer Success Management – Banking Solutions

About the role

Moody's is looking for an experienced Associate Director to lead Customer Success Management for its Banking Solutions portfolio in Tokyo. The role focuses on deepening client relationships, driving product adoption, and delivering strategic insights that help financial institutions manage risk and lending activities.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse customer usage of Moody's risk, finance, lending, KYC and data solutions, and share insights with product, research, sales and advisory teams.
• Develop and execute engagement plans that increase product usage, maintain health scores, and forecast churn, while collaborating closely with Sales on executive outreach and community events.
• Act as a trusted advisor, translating business priorities into solution value, and coordinating case studies, success stories and webinars to showcase impact.

Required profile

• Fluent in Japanese and English.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in banking or financial services, with a client‑facing background such as Customer Success Manager, Consultant or Banking Relationship Manager.
• Strong understanding of banking regulations, credit risk modelling, stress testing, KYC, IFRS 9 and related compliance frameworks.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with artificial intelligence concepts and AI tools to streamline workflows.
• Ability to implement AI‑powered solutions that address business challenges while managing AI risk responsibly.
